Customer: Eurobank, Bucharest, Romania- sub-delivery to Accenture
Scope of project: on-line migration of bank production data between two datacenters ( Sema-Pipera, Romania) by Storage Area Network resources, with ongoing asynchronous replication to remote datacentre (Athens).Solution description: There was implemented CDP infrastructure for each wave (5 waves) using EMC-RecoverPoint. This infrastructure enabled data migration from source data centre and data access in destination data centre by provisioning of Read/Write snapshot. This feature was used to prove data consistency on destination side. Migration process was design to mitigate any migration impact to production system. Major focus was pointed to all rollback scenarios that could be used during migration process. The technical team consisted of four system engineers and three programmers of SIT (CZ) and two project managers from Data Autonomy (UK).
The technical team has demonstrated following competences:
1.Design and configuration of Cisco MDS SAN partly in source DC and completely in destination DC.
2.Design and configuration of HP XP24000 in destination DC.
3.Design and configuration of HP XP12000 in source DC for migration purposes (journals for RecoverPoint Appliance)
4.Server Assessment (127 SAN connected servers) LUN definition ( 867 LUNs), consistency group definition with Sharp LUNs ( clusters, VMW servers).
5.RecoverPoint Appliance implementation with Cisco MDS 9509 Storage Service Module.
6.Automatic configuration of RPA and migration control.
7.Implementation and tuning of FCIP between Pipera and Athens.
8.IVR implementation for solving limitation based on configuration limitation on actual SAN (only one VSAN in Sema-Athens fabric ).

Reference by Accenture project manager responsible for DR Relocation project:
The SIT, s.r.o. company participated on the project as subcontractor for DC Relocation project and was responsible for end-to-end data replication process. This process was a critical part of the delivery because it was manipulating business data of the client, which are used by several business applications. The main aim of their sub-delivery was to design and implement processes and tools to ensure safe and reliable data replication with 100% consistency and safe backup and roll-back scenarios.
The data migration sub-delivery was also challenging according to given time windows for each wave. The client required minimal impact on operations so all activities had to be finished during off-business hours.
The solution delivered by SIT, s.r.o. supported overall delivery to high extent and provided risk minimization together with investment savings. The reliability of the solution was proved by several unexpected circumstances during execution of some waves, which were managed well without impact on client and delivery. We also appreciated tools they developed and used for monitoring and management of migration process.
The effort of SIT, s.r.o. company contributed to successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
