Last week, on Tuesday 18th January, the CNT Corp. announced that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by McDATA.
By acquiring CNT, McDATA remarkably expands its growth and profitability potential through solutions, increased efficiency, a broader range of technologies, products and services and expanded sales opportunities, especially in Europe. For CNT means this transaction - among others - also increased and even more focused R&D budget.
Both companies believe, that the biggest profit from this acquisition will have their customers and partners, who will have - due to the compatible combination of the best product features of these two leading companies in the switching and connectivity market - the benefit of an unique, more comprehensive and customer-driven offerings for the MANs, WANs and SANs.
